Makeup Artist Shares Skincare Routine for Combination Skin

Hi my ladies and theydies! I’m Stephanie and I’ll be sharing my daytime and nighttime skincare routines! I have combination, slightly sensitive, skin that leans toward oily in both winter and summer seasons, so most of my products are focused on hydration. Let’s get into it!

Daytime Routine

1. Wet face with warm water (not too hot!) and use a pea-sized amount of First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser w/ antioxidant booster, massaging it into a foamy lather for around 30 seconds.

2. Use two drops of The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG serum under eyes – this product really reduces puffiness and hyperpigmentation in the eye contour.

3. I alternate between Meera’s Beauty Vitamin C Serum, which helps fade sunspots, acne scars, discoloration, wrinkles, and refine skin texture, and Banila Co’s Miss Flower and Mr. Honey Honey Propolis Rejuvenating Propolis, which contains Niacinamide to help minimize the appearance of pores, uneven skin tone and texture. Both serums are extremely hydrating, and I put three to four drops on my skin and let it dry for one minute before applying moisturizer.

4. Using a quarter-sized amount of Cetaphil’s Daily Hydrating Lotion, rub all over the face and use palms to really push the product into the skin.

5. Top it all off with SPF, always, always wear SPF, using La Mer’s The Broad Spectrum SPF50 UV Protecting Fluid.

Nighttime Routine

1. Wet face with warm water (again, not too hot!) and use a pea-sized amount of Banila Co’s Clean It Zero Foam Cleanser, massaging it into a foamy lather for around 30 seconds.

2. Use a cotton pad and soak with Neutrogena’s Alcohol-Free Toner, swiping your face in gentle, upward motions. I only use toner at night, especially in the winter to not strip my skin’s moisture, but it’s important to prevent dirt, grime, and anything stuck in your pores with the use of a toner!

Use 3-4 drops of The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA serum and rub into your face. This serum is a mild exfoliator appropriate for everyday use, while reducing signs of inflammation. It takes some getting used to, but I have seen a noticeable change in my skin texture!

Dab Ole Henriksen Truth Banana Bright Eye Crème, moving in upward motions from inner eye to the temples. I love this eye cream because it’s great for dark circles and dry patches.
